About Us
The Central University of Kerala (CUK) is one among the 16 Central Universities established under The Central Universities Act, 2009 on 02 March 2009. The CUK offers Four Year BA (Hons) IR; 5 Integrated Teacher Education Programmes (B.Sc. B.Ed. Physics; B.Sc. B.Ed. Zoology; B.A. B.Ed. English; B.A. B.Ed. Economics; B.Com. B.Ed.) and 26 Masters and PhD Programmes on Economics, English & Comparative Literature, Hindi & Comparative Literature, International Relations and Political Science, Kannada, Linguistics & Language Technology, Malayalam, Public Administration & Policy Studies, Education, Law, Public Health, Social Work, General Management, Tourism & Travel Management, Commerce, Biochemistry, Botany, Computer Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Genomic Science, Mathematics, Physics, Yoga Therapy, Zoology.
Area of Excellence
CUK has undertaken several research projects with DST, DBT, UGC, KSCSTE, Western Ghats Cell, IUAC etc., pursues GIAN Programmes, and has signed several MoUs with professional institutions. In 2022, the institution's NAAC grade was raised from B++ to A.
