About Us
B.M.S. College for Women is dedicated to the service of young women whose empowerment is the mission of the College. It caters to the educational needs of women with the sole objective of empowering them through education, imparting required skills and overall personality development. Established in the year 1964, by B.M.S. Educational Trust, the College has completed Sixty years of its existence. A noted visionary and philanthropist Dharma Prakasha Rajakarya Prasaktha late Sri. B.M. Sreenivasaiah established the Trust and the tradition was strengthened by his visionary son Sri. B.S. Narayan. At present Dr. Ragini Narayan, Donor Trustee, BMSET and Chairperson, BMSCW upholds the spirit with unflinching devotion. Since its inception, the College has been catering education to the girls from various sections of the society. The students have excelled in curricular, co-curricular, extra- Curricular and cultural activities in Intra and Inter college competitions. They have not only secured university ranks several times but also have brought many laurels to the college in the field of Sports at National and International levels. The well qualified and experienced faculty of the college render to the needs of the students. Teaching-learning process in the college is essentially student-centric with emphasis on overall, holistic development of student community. This process is strengthened by providing good infrastructure, well equipped labs, ICT facilities, updated library resources, sound mentoring system, an academy to train the students to take up competitive examinations etc., to mention a few. The students are encouraged to take up project work/ internships and above all congenial student-teacher relationships have made learning an enjoyable experience. As a result, the students are able to accomplish in their academics. The Placement Cell of the college provides a strong platform for the students who are groomed to get selected in various companies.
