About Us
Presidency Group of Institution, established in 1976, has been continuously working towards the growth in academic excellence.
Presidency College started in the year 2000 with two courses now has five PG & four UG courses with 2,500 students and 150 highly qualified staff. The institution also has Research Centre offering Ph.D. in Management and Computer science with competent staff as research guides.
Having achieved autonomy in December 2020, the college has freedom to match the academia with industry requirements thereby leveraging job prospects.
At Presidency, learning is never confined to classroom. Corporate Social Responsibility takes the form of Students Social Responsibility.
Area of Excellence
Excellent in Academics by various pedagogies using ICT, Blended learning, Flip class, Role – play, Experiential learning, peer learning, collaborative and cooperative teaching, debates and discussions are held to ensure effective delivery of each segment. Guest lectures, workshop, short term projects, industrial visits to bridge industry expectations and curriculum.
Research Capability and Focus Area
Research culture is promoted by encouraging Teachers and Students to undertake research. An in-house journal PJMTR published bi-annually and Friday Faculty Seminar series conducted serves as a platform; Incentives, on-duty leave (OOD) are also provided to motivate to pursue research.
