Goa Institute of Management (GIM) breaks its previous records by surpassing the highest and average annual salary packages of last year.

GIM achieves 100% placements in all 4 programmes – PGDM, PGDM-Big Data Analytics (BDA), PGDM-Healthcare Management (HCM) and PGDM-Banking, Insurance & Financial Services (BFSI). With these numbers, GIM based in Sanquelim, Goa, has once again set the benchmark high in achieving 100% placements with a significant increase in salary packages for professional educational institutes all over the country. For 28 years, GIM has consistently been at the forefront of industry excellence, nourishing student communities to bear the torch of conscious leadership. The programmes at GIM are enriched with a curriculum focused on ethics and corporate governance, which is very relevant today. As a result, GIM has an impeccable placement record with some of the leading Indian and global corporations. Despite economic hurdles and unprecedented challenges faced by industries, the recruiting partners of GIM have grown in numbers over the years. The PGDM Programme experienced a boost compared to the previous year's metrics, where the average salary increased by more than 20% to reach INR 14.87 LPA (Lakhs per Annum). The highest salary received was INR 55 LPA. Top recruiters included Aditya Birla Capital, Accenture, ICICI Bank, Citi, TATA Capital, Gartner, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Crompton Greaves, ITC Limited, Deloitte, Capgemini, Infosys, EY, Microsoft, Reliance, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Johnson & Johnson, Schindler among others. The BDA programme' ... s Batch of 2023 bagged a highest salary of INR 40.2 LPA and an average of INR 17.2 LPA with 57 recruiters, including CRIF, Optum, HSBC Bank, Accenture AI, Tata Capital and others as compared to the highest salary of 30 LPA last year and an average of INR 12.8 LPA. The HCM programme batch saw an increase of INR 34.4 LPA, with the highest international CTC being INR 60.4 LPA and the highest domestic CTC being 29.13 LPA, with the average standing at INR 15 LPA. The programme recently achieved its 100% placement objective marking completion of the placements process at GIM. The BIFS Programme also 100% placements and exceeded metrics with the highest LPA of INR 27 while this year's average of INR 14.35 LPA beating last year's INR 11 LPA. In addition to its admirable and consistent placement record, GIM has been bestowed with prestigious accolades and globally recognized accreditations. Recently, GIM was ranked as the best Big Data Analytics Institute 2023 by Analytics Insights. GIM achieves highest level as “Pioneering” B-schools in PIR 2021

The PIR 2021 assessed the social impact levels of about forty-six B-schools from 21 countries all over the world. Out of these, three Indian institutes namely, S P Jain Institute of Management Research (SPJMIR), XLRI (Xavier School of Management), and Goa Institute of Management (GIM) achieved the highest level as “Pioneering” schools in the PIR 2021 report.  Positive Impact Rating (PIR) is conducted by management students to assess how B-schools have a positive impact on the world. PRME stands for the Principles of Responsible Management Education, which is a United Nations-backed initiative. It was founded in 2007 to create a platform to raise the level of sustainability in B-schools all over the world. The B-schools were measured across seven dimensions namely- culture, governance, programs, student support, learning methods, public engagement, and institution as a role model. GIM wins GBSN Micro Simulation Awards

2022 Capsim Microsimulation Development Lab One of the most time-consuming and challenging competitions that GBSN hosts is the Microsimulation Development Lab, in partnership with CapsimInbox. This was the third year for this opportunity, and the competition began with a learning workshop/badge opportunity, which welcomed 56 registrants from 13 countries. The workshop concluded with the beginning of the microsimulation development process, which takes approximately 5 weeks to complete for a 15-30 minute microsimula ... tion. In the end, five microsimulations were completed and the judges determined the following team as the winner of the $5,000 prize: FIRST PLACE: Remoras Technology by Hinrich Voss, University of Bristol and Divya Singhal and V Padhmanabhan of Goa Institute of Management The microsimulation follows the VP of Human Resources of the FinTech company Remoras Technology, Bangalore. GIM wins Green Gown Awards

Grass is always greener on our side Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has always been conscious about the impact of its decisions on the ecosystem and has continuously strived to reduce its carbon footprint. Along with measures like rainwater harvesting, solar power, treatment of water for reuse, tree plantation drives and many more, the institute has expressed its commitment to this philosophy also through its mission statement which talks about sustainable business and an inclusive society for India and the world. At GIM, there is a constant quest for improving campus sustainability, communication of these measures to stakeholders, engagement in national and international sustainability activities and a deep student engagement to groom transformative leaders focussed on responsible, ethical, and sustainable business practices. Being geographically and philosophically very well placed to work towards environmental sustainability, we at GIM strive to ensure that “the grass is always greener on our side”. The Panel noted the comprehensive programme of activity across most of the sustainability areas of a HEI. The Judging Panel liked the examples of student engagement especially the Sustainability Hackathon. There is good scope for developing further engagement opportunities. The Judging Panel felt that the outreach activities were notable. Top 3 Learnings A sustainability initiative should follow top-down approach. Students are embracing the challenge to make the world a better place by coming out of their comfort zones. A pro-environmental change needs both technical and behavioural changes.

GIM wins the prestigious 2021 Flourish Prize for Global Goal #8 from amongst 585 entries from across the globe

The students of Goa Institute of Management (GIM) - is the only institute from India to be shortlisted - won the prestigious 2021 Flourish Prize from a total of 585 entries. The B-school won the honours from the team's submission of the story on Jaipur Rugs which highlighted the Global Goal #8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth - part of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. This winning story was one of the 17 best stories that exemplified how businesses can act as a positive force for ethical causes that can demonstrate progress. AIM2Flourish is the world’s first higher-education curriculum for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit at the Weather head School of Management - Case Western Reserve University in the US. The initiative recognises the positive impact of the business leaders of today while amending the ways in which tomorrow's leaders are taught. A team of 7 students from GIM presented an extensive and pioneering story 'Seeing the World through the Lens of Potential' on ‘Jaipur Rugs’ under the guidance of Professor Divya Singhal, Chairperson Centre for Social Sensitivity ... and Action, GIM and as part of their Social Responsibility and Action (SRA) course. The students - Abhishek Kaushik, Ayush Bhagoliwal, Chadarajupalli Leelavamsi, Gaurav Kumar, Shubham Bisht, Siddhi Maheshwari, and Sooraj Prabhakar - identified the business' myriad innovative strategies by interviewing the organisation's top managers. “I am thrilled to see the student teams winning the 2021 Flourish Prize. In the last three years, I have seen this partnership with AIM2Flourish resulting in an experiential and transformative experience for students of the Social Responsibility and Action course at GIM. Personally, it has been an amazing learning experience guiding student groups working on identifying, interviewing inspiring stories about positive and profitable business innovation in 2020. Engaging in this assignment has undoubtedly provided students with an opportunity to see Business as an Agent of World Benefit, enhanced their understanding about responsible leadership, SDGs and has also given a platform to highlight stories of positive business innovation,” said Profesor Divya Singhal of GIM, while expressing her elation about the team’s victory.

GIM Students get International Package of Rs 60.4 LPA

The Goa Institute of Management has recently concluded the Final placements for the PGDM and Big Data Analytics Programmes and achieved 100 percent placements in two major programme. The PGDM programme of the Institute has witnessed 100 per cent placement for the Batch of 2021-23 and seen a 20 per cent increase in the average CTC as compared to last year. The highest CTC stands at 55 LPA and the average CTC at 14.6 LPA. The flagship PGDM programme's placement arrived from Microsoft, which offered roles in Program Management along with several other companies like Bain & Co, Reliance Industries, CRIF and also one of the Fin-Tech innovators, D E Shaw offering roles in consulting, analytics and management. For the Big Data Analytics programme, the institute achieved 100 percent placements by aligning themselves with the new recruiters including behemoths like Amazon, HDFC, Flipkart, CRIF, Lowe's Inc. and the Trident Group. The sector wise placements saw recruitments in the fields of FMCG, IT, etc., with roles offered like Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Sci ... entist, Data Architect, Cloud Data Architect, Market Research Analyst, and Product Manager. The highest CTC for the BDA programme is 40.2 LPA and the average CTC is 17.2 LPA. The youngest Banking and Financial Services programme offered by the Institute has also completed 100 percent placement for the Batch of 2021-23 and witnessed a highest placement offer of 27 Lakhs per annum and recorded an average CTC of 14.3 Lakhs per annum. The ongoing placements for the Healthcare Management programme inching towards completion, saw the highest international offer of 60.4 Lakhs per Annum by Shalina Healthcare for two students and the highest domestic offer of 29.13 Lakhs per Annum by Johnson & Johnson.
