About Us
Our institute was established as Arulmigu Kalasalingam engineering college in the year 1984 by Kalvivallal Thiru T. Kalasalingam, Founder & Chairman who was a freedom fighter and Philanthropist .Based on the academic and research performance, this institute obtained the status of deemed university in the year 2006, since then it strives to sustain the quality in education, research and all its activities which resulted Top 100 position in engineering and overall ranking of NIRF(National Institute of Ranking Framework),MHRD for last three years and presently in 60th Position in engineering category. Its accredited by NAAC with 3.11 CGPA in 4.0 Scale, “A” grade. Six engineering programmes are accredited by NBA and Eleven of our Engg & Technology Programmes are accredited by ABET. We are offering 15 UG and 15 PG programmes in Engg & Tech including agricultural engineering and architectural engg,18 UG and 10 PG programmes in Commerce Arts and Humanities, Advance science, Liberal arts and education and Ph.D programme in all the disciplines with total students strength of about 7000 and faculty strength of 540 Many centre of excellences in the campus are established with the funding support from government funding agencies. Our curriculum is well framed with a flexible system and by integrating online courses, societal projects, industry exposures and international exposures as the components.
