About Us
The Institute was established in 2013, It is one of 20 IIITs established by the Govt of India through an Act of Parliament in Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode. It is an Institution of National Importance. It is located near the Guwahati airport in a 67 acre campus. It is fully residential. The Institute has a rank of 73 among all Engineering Institutes of the country (as per NIRF ranking). Currently there 45 faculty members (all with PhDs), and 27 staff members.

Academic Facilities
IIITG strives to be attentive to academic needs of every student. Every class room is air-conditioned and has projection facilities. A wi-fi system provides Internet access throughout the Institute.
