LITTLE FLOWER COLLEGE , GURUVAYUR , KERALA. PROFILE OF THE INSTITUTE Little Flower College, Guruvayur is a Catholic Minority College of the Syro Malabar Rite established in the year 1955. It is run by the Franciscan Clarist Congregation, Assisi Province, Thrissur, Kerala.We are into our 63rd year of successful imparting of education to the women of this remote and backward area of Thrissur district. The inclusive educational system caters to 2000 students, de elitizing and democratizing the women of locality The NAAC visit and Accreditation heralded a success of scoring A Grade, 3.52 CGPA which led us to be conferred the “College with Potential for Excellence ” in 2016 and emboldened us to plunge for a National Ranking NIRF 2017 by the MHRD New Delhi. A 49th position nationally has boosted our confidence by placing us in league with highly urbanized centers of education that mainly caters to students who may not be first generation learners. We were the only college in Kerala to be shortlisted in the National Swachatha Institutional Ranking by MHRD New Delhi. We were awarded the IAB Blind Empowered Champions for the year 2018 for contributing liberally to the International White Cane Day by our students. We have been selected as partners in STUDY IN INDIA project as well as UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN for 2018 We have utilized our infrastructure with prudence to further education with LF values professed by this Institution, empowering all women. It is a way of giving back to the society that has supported and sustained us all through these 6 and more decades. We started of initially with a warm welcome that the locality provided to our founding mothers to educate their women, we continue doing so with the same level of trust and integrity. The college provides all modern amenities like smart class rooms and a green campus . Their artistic and creative and sporting talents along with their academic excellence are nurtured , with maximum opportunities for exposure are encouraged. Each of the above opportunities for evaluating us, proved to be a chance to meet our challenges head on and convert it into our strengths for the future. We thank the almighty for showering us such immense grace on our Faculty , Students, Well wishers , Stakeholders and Parents that help us stand tall under the canopy of the banyan tree called Little Flower College.
