About Us

IMI Kolkata is considered as a top ranked Business School in India. Established in 1981 with a campus in New Delhi, International Management Institute (IMI) was India's first corporate-sponsored business school. During its inception, IMI was backed by prestigious corporate houses like RPG Enterprises, Nestle, ITC, SAIL, Tata Chemicals, BOC and Williamson Magor. IMI Delhi, which is located in the Qutab Institutional Area, has been among the leading B-schools for almost three decades and is today a global institution. It was established in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne). Later in 2010, two more campuses came up in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar to enable bright young minds gain access to the world-class IMI management pedagogy. ln 2010 IMI Kolkata came up in Eastern India to enable bright young minds gain access to the world-class IMI management pedagogy. The Two-Year full-time AICTE Approved PGDM Programme was started in 2011. IMI Kolkata is located at Alipore in the heart of the city and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructural, academic and residential facilities. IMI Kolkata has grown rapidly since its modest beginning in 2011, to the extent that it is today one of Kolkata's well-known B-schools. IMI Kolkata achieved a significant milestone in its short span since its inception.
