About Institution : M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology is a self-financing institution established in Bangalore in the year 1962 by the industrialist and philanthropist, Late Dr. M S Ramaiah. It was started with two engineering branches and has evolved by leaps and bounds into a major technical educational centre in the country. Currently, 13 UG and 15 PG programmes are offered to students, which are affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU). MSRIT obtained Academic Autonomy (approved by VTU and UGC) for all its UG and PG Programmes from the year 2007. M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology is continuously ranked among the top 100 Engineering Colleges across India as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework, MHRD, Government of India. All the eligible Programmes have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology has been accredited with ‘A+’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). All the departments in the Institute are recognized as research centres from VTU to pursue MSc (Engg.) and PhD. All research departments are active with sponsored projects and about 315 scholars are pursuing PhD. Boeing International Corporation, USA has established its Research Center at MSRIT. MSRIT has a strong Placement and Training Department with a committed team and the placement is more than 90%.MSRIT hosts a fully equipped Sports Department, a large airconditioned Library with over two lakh books with subscription to more than 300 International and National Journals.

Summer internship opportunities : Summer Internship Program is made mandatory for all undergraduate and postgraduate students under the supervision of Institute faculty and Industry advisor. The duration of the internship is 4 to 6 weeks, between June and August. Students are placed for internships in reputed institutions by the placement department and also by the respective departments. Many students get paid internships and subsequently converted to projects and placements in the same company. Students get Internships in more than 450 companies and 25 reputed research organizations. Students are guided for international internships in world-renowned universities, which help them to pursue their Post-graduation and research MSRIT has an Industry Certified Research Internship program to makes students ready Engineers in collaboration with leading software industries in the area of data science and software coding.
