Anna University (AU) is a premier public state University ranked in the top five percent of University globally and based in the heart of INDIA’s "second most liveable city – Chennai” (EIU Report, 2023). The University was originated in 1794, making it the oldest technical university in Asia and the oldest technical school outside of Europe comprising of College of Engineering, Guindy; AC College of Technology; Madras Institute of Technology; and School of Architecture and Planning. According to the QS World Ranking 2024, AU stands at 10th among Indian institutions, 105th among Asian universities, and 427th worldwide. AU has been recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A++" grade, maintaining its exceptional reputation.
